Mark Richards

President

Mark is an industry professional with over 35 years of experience, 16 of which he spent with The Brickman Group (now Brightview). There he contributed to several of their numerous national landscape awards. In 1994, he initiated the strategic plan and start-up of Brickman’s Texas Division, which he developed and led for eight years, growing the DFW, Austin and Houston markets.  Included among some of their major projects were Alliance (Hillwood), Solana, Shops at Legacy, EDS, and Del Webb (Georgetown). The Texas region grew to become one of the largest and most successful divisions of the company.

Mark founded Woodlake Outdoor in 2003 to service an exclusive clientele in DFW and since has expanded to Austin and surrounding areas.

For fun, he played rugby until he aged out but has since started to play the violin, it seemed a natural transition.

Kevin Bardsley

Director of Operations

Kevin is an industry professional with 20 years of landscape experience and has worked extensively in the North Texas market. He worked for 7 years with The Brickman Group (Brightview) managing The Las Colinas Association landscape maintenance project, as well as various commercial corporate campuses. He joined Woodlake Outdoor in 2013 and heads the landscape division and provides leadership for select hardscape projects in North Texas and surrounding area. He has finance, planning, purchasing and safety management responsibilities as a member of the leadership team

Carrie Boehmer

Director of Administration

Carrie has over 25 years of experience working in accounting and bookkeeping in various industries in both the for-profit and non-profit sector. Her love for accounting started early in the manufacturing industry. That challenge and the good fortune of working with CFO’s, CEO’s and Accountants who were willing to teach her everything they knew opened up a niche and a career. Carrie joined the staff of Woodlake Outdoor in 2012 to focus on the administrative, bookkeeping and accounting aspects of the business.

She loves the beauty of the outdoors and time spent with family and friends.

Paul Clute

Director of Operations

Paul is an industry professional with over 30 years in commercial landscape construction and nurseryman experience in the Midwest and Central Texas. In his previous role as a vice-president of landscape construction, he managed large projects including the Cerner headquarters, Federal Reserve building, World Food Prize and NASCAR speedway in Kansas City.He is a native Texan who relocated to Austin several years ago with his family. He joined Woodlake Outdoor in 2017 and heads the Austin/Central Texas division.In his spare time, Paul enjoys cooking, hunting and RVing.

Justin Mikara

Director of Operations

Justin has 30 years of industry experience in construction management. He is experienced in stone and brick masonry, concrete and stucco, as well as, flooring materials especially granite and stone. He is a Kiwi (New Zealander) with a keen eye for detail. He joined Woodlake in 2009 and works extensively with clients and oversees projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

For fun, he likes to mountain bike, kayak and camp with his wife, 2 teenagers and rescue dog. He’s also a beekeeper and master juggler. He’s a relentless overachiever, and is able to cook 2 minute noodles in just under 1min40!

Tim Sloan

Director of Operations

Tim has 25 years of landscape industry experience in the DFW area. His experience includes 9 years with The Brickman Group (Brightview) leading landscape maintenance for all downtown properties. He led regional color coordination and grower selection for all major Texas markets, and served as the lead landscape designer for the landscape enhancement division in Dallas. He leads Woodlake Outdoors’ landscape maintenance operations throughout North Texas. Tim was an avid soccer player until injuries side-lined him, but he stays involved in the sport as a coach for his children.

Joe Feather

Project Manager

Joe is an industry professional with over 40 years of landscape and irrigation experience. He has worked in North Texas as a horticultural consultant, landscape irrigation designer, landscape account manager, and engineering technician. He has a broad range of landscape design, management and installation accomplishments which includes design of LEED qualification. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member for North Central Texas College, teaching horticulture classes including: Landscape Design, Introductory Irrigation, and Woody/Herbaceous Plant Identification.

Joe enjoys motorcycle riding with his family, beekeeping, and shooting at the range.

Justin Novosad

Project Manager

Justin has been in the Landscape industry for 16 years. He has experience working in multiple locales and climates in Texas. He has worked in residential and commercial landscape, entering the field as an irrigation laborer. After graduation, he moved to the DFW area to pursue his career in Landscape Management & Development. His first opportunity was at Landscape Expressions where he helped develop the company  which doubled in size during his 3 years there. Then he joined Metheny Landscape Management as they were purchased by The Brickman Group (now BrightView). During his 4-year tenure at Brightview, he managed a portfolio of some award-winning properties throughout the Metroplex.

During his free time Justin played soccer till his knee no longer allowed it. He also enjoys hunting, car shows, and many other outdoor activities.

Michael Duffy

Production Manager

Michael has over 20 years’ experience in commercial construction, landscape maintenance, and hardscape. He started his career in site work in Southern California, and then moved to Austin, Texas working on landscape projects for Apple, Round Rock Sports Complex, UMHB Performing Arts and other office and municipal sites. Michael enjoys time outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking and boating with his five children.

Tom Fischer

Tom has been in the landscape industry for 30 years. From an early age, he worked on his family’s produce farm in Wisconsin. He eventually found his way to Texas and for 12 years he managed an irrigation supply company branch in Texas. His love for outdoor environments drew him back to the field of landscape, where he has been since.

For fun, he likes to fish, kayak, mountain bike and run.

Genesis is a senior at the UNT in Denton where she is studying human resources management and international trade. She had 6 years of customer service and human resources experience. She worked for a Criminal Defense Law Firm in Dallas prior to joining Woodlake Outdoor. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends and loves exploring new places around town.

Nick Oliver

Production Manager

Nick is an industry professional with over 10 years in landscape construction. He started his career with a design build firm in Lubbock while at Texas Tech University and worked in the nursery and with installation crews. He spent 6 years managing high end residential landscape projects throughout DFW and hospitality projects across the state. Nick manages commercial hardscape and construction projects for Woodlake Outdoor. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, reading and fishing.

Roberto Ortega- production manager

Roberto Ortega

Production Manager

Roberto has 15 years of experience in the landscape industry and specializes in large-scale commercial landscape construction. In 2014, he sold his own landscape business, and joined The Brickman Group to assist with their development projects overseeing landscape installation on some of DFW’s largest commercial projects. As Brickman and Valleycrest merged into Brightview Landscape Companies, Roberto was assigned to supervise the installation of Facebook’s first full scale landscape at their large data facility in Ft. Worth. Roberto joined Woodlake Outdoor in 2017 to assist with the continued growth of commercial development in the DFW area.

In his free time Roberto can be found fishing, and enjoys the less serious side of life as a member of a local Latin jazz/salsa band.

Fidel Pacheco

Production Manager

Fidel has been a landscape industry manager for 34 years, providing field supervision for projects in Chicago and in Dallas. He worked for The Brickman Group (Brightview) prior to joining the Woodlake Outdoor team. He leads teams on large commercial maintenance projects throughout DFW, and has extensive experience training crew members. Fidel’s specialty and favorite type of project is managing large tree transplants. He enjoys watching and playing soccer as well as riding horses with his three year-old grandson.

Nancy Rantala

Administrative Assistant

Nancy has over 25 years of customer service and office administration experience, including managing the office of a manufacturer’s rep firm where she honed her administrative and customer service skills. Nancy has a background in marketing administration and commercial art, with an interest in photography. For entertainment, she likes to read, listen to music, travel, practice photography and enjoy the outdoors.

Blake Foree

Production Manager

Blake has over 14 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance in HOA’s, commercial buildings and apartment complexes in the Central Texas area. His experience also includes landscape construction installation as well as turf management/disease and pest control. Prior to joining the Woodlake Outdoor team, he was the account leader for over 35 commercial sites throughout Austin and Central Texas.

Blake is a native Texan and was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his wife and two small children, and hunting trips with his friends and his son. He is enjoying teaching and watching his sons’ skills develop.

Alex Davis

Alex is a recent Texas A&M grad is gaining new experience in landscape and irrigation, most recently working at The Lagoon Project at Windsong Ranch. Having joined the Woodlake Outdoor team, he is a recent transplant to the DFW area. Alex enjoys being outdoors and having the opportunity to contribute to multiple landscape projects.

In his free time, he enjoys taking his dog Leo to the DFW dog parks, and also enjoys hunting in Junction, Texas.

Randa Homann

Supervisor

Randa is a recent graduate from Texas A&M. She has experience in landscape maintenance, arboriculture and in the wine industry. She has many years of experience working on her family’s ranch which led to her interest in horticulture. She enjoys fishing, hunting, and paddle boarding and relocated to the DFW area to join the team.
